Week 2 and already late.

If this post was a period, many girls nation wide would be very relieved by its appearance. However, it is not a period. It is a post and it was late and instead of being relieved, you’re probably mildly annoyed. Or worse, you didn’t even notice. Ho hum.

Anyway, I have a good excuse: DT-Day. We stormed the beaches and pre-heated ovens (a bit sinister sounding in WW2 context) and peeled potatoes.  (We  = I) All in all, it was a good Thanksgiving.

Between shoveling gobs of greenbeans-coated-in-french-fried-onions in my mouth and using my turkey leg as a scepter a la Viking royalty, I managed to do my drawings. All 6 of them although I could only find 5 when it came time to take the pictures. I KNOW I did the 6th but I closed the book and can’t find it now. Gah!

One mistake many amateur artists make is to ignore certain basic principles of form, all cold putting too many words in their comics and copying and pasting features and stuff, or generally making bullshit way too complicated.

Weekly Roundup #1

For those of you not in the know, here’s the lowdown:

Rob and I both acquired magical books with all sorts of artistic prompts. Enough to last us 2 years and a few days if we do 6 drawings a week. As we putter through the book, we do 5 in order and one wildcard from somewhere else in the book.
